Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with general construction tasks including but not limited to digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials.

  2. Operate hand and power tools under supervision to perform tasks.

  3. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by cleaning up debris, sweeping, and disposing of waste materials.

  4. Support the installation of structural components such as framing, roofing, and siding.

  5. Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others on the job site.

  6. Communicate effectively with team members and a willingness to learn new skills.

  7. Perform other duties as assigned to meet project deadlines and requirements.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in construction or a related field preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.

  2. Vehicle and valid drivers license required.

  3. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.

  4. Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.

  5. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

  6. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

  7. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and procedures.

  8. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Skilled Carpenter

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential construction, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the construction, installation, and repair of residential structures.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all aspects of carpentry work in residential settings.

  • Interpret and understand construction drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.

  • Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, and molding.

  • Collaborate with other trades, including electricians, plumbers, and painters, to complete projects.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a carpenter or related field.

  • Proficient in using hand and power tools.

  • Solid understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction, as well as an understanding of the BC Building Code and Worksafe Requirements.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings.

  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Experience in the field

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Truck preferred.
